The old Massachusetts State House

Name: Bruce / Li yang
Date: 7/2/2010
Today we visited the old Massachusettes State House. The building gave me the first impression is that it has the golden roof and magnificent building area. The old Massachusettes State House was completed on January 11, 1798. Today, it is the oldest building on Beacon Hill.
The building covers 6.7 acres or about two city blocks, there is a Bulfich's statue in the front of it. The old Masscchusettes State House has the red brick walls, white pallars and trim, and the golden dome catching evey visitors' sight.
In the State House, the different parts show the different history. Let's have a walk through the State House. when we into the State House, fistly, we can see a model of State House and the major difference between the model and the building is the color of the dome. At the second follr, we still can visit the Doric Hall, Nurse Hall, Memorial Hall and the Great Hall. the main staircase window also is a beautiful landscape in the second floor.
Of course, we could not forget the main effects of the State House. In the Legislative Branch, it has the House of Representatives, Senate Reception Room and Senate Chamber. In the Executive Branch, in has the Governor's Waiting room, the Governor's office and Council Chamber and Cabinet Room. All of these rooms are at three floor.
This week's field trip is a wonderful and rich trip.
I'm looking forward the next week!
