we had a black heritage trip which was as inportant as freedom trail this friday. Eventhgh it was hot, but we were still attracted by this black heritage. During this trip, we each had a presentation when we got
each place. It was a long trip that we spent near 2 hours on walking. The first destination was Robert Gould Shaw and 54th Regiment Memorial. It was located in front of state house. As we know, The 54th Regiment of Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry was the first black regiment to be recruited in the North.
We went alone the street, turned several corners, we egt the Smith Court Residences. These houses are the typical homes of occupied by black Bostonians. Thre are five residential structures on the Smith Court. As early as the 790s, the are of lower joy street and smith court was an important center of Boston. Today, they are the best preserved phsical locales avaiable for understanding the historal of African Americans in Boston.
