A Visit to the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston

Today we visited a very special place---the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. The federal reserve bank of Boston is one of bank of the Federal Reserve System. The Federal Reserve System has twelve banks and it was built up in 1913 and this system was designed by congress to have a broad perspective on the economy and on economic activity in all parts of the nation (handout).
The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston is a huge building in the center of Boston city. Its security is strict and we should take off our straps. So, you could see a lot of people took off their straps at the same time. That looks funny. Also, you can not take photos in the Federal Reserve Bank because this is a way to protect their bank system.
After the security check, a nice man took us to a meeting room and let us see the video and to know the history of their bank and system. In the video, I learned a lot of knowledge. After watching the video, the man who worked in the federal reserve bank of Boston for many years had a presentation and taught us lots things about their bank and answered our classmates’ questions. Even thought it was not interesting and a lot bit boring, it could help us to know the bank system of the USA and the knowledge was help the students who wanted to learn finance and business.
