Trip to the Boston Massacre Site
On Friday morning, June 19, 2010, a sunny day, we visited the Boston Massacre Site. The Boston Massacre Site is located the State Street of the Boston city and in order to commemorate the five Bostonians which were killed by the English soldiers (Red coasts) on March 5, 1770.
The Boston Massacre Site was not called "the Boston Massacre" until many years after it occur ed in 1773. The first popular name was named by Paul Revere was the Bloody Massacre in the King Street. In the early 1800's, it was also called the State Street Massacre.
The Boston Massacre was described as the spark that ignited the Revolutionary War. In reality there are several other historic milestones that moved Boston towards the revolution, however, it is still playing a significant role in the Boston's history.
Today, on March 5, the local Boston people still use their own way to commemorate this specific day and mourn the people which were killed during the massacre.
This is a short movie which shows the local Boston people how to commemorate this day.
