Trip to JKF presidential library and museum
On Friday morning, June 12, 2010 we visited John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, which is dedicated in 1979 for remembering the 35th president of the United States. This museum react some history about early 1960’s in United Stated and the world.
The museum is located near a harbor that has a beautiful view and very quite. White wall and the black window are particularly eye-catching even far away from it. Trees and grass are surrounded.
Before we visit the exhibit, we saw a short movie that is a biography about President Kennedy who is the youngest president in the history. On January 20, 1961, JFK beat Nixon to become the 35th president at the age of 43. He had rich experience before he become president. He was graduated form Harvard University. During the Second World War, he was in the Navy and commanded in the pacific.
We saw lots of precious exhibits but which impressed me most is the words he said “ask not what your country can do for you- ask what you can do for your country”. He was said it on the president election. America won the second word war and some of the citizens do not cherish the rights that they have. And they just want to request to the state but not devoted themselves to the country’s development. For us students, we should remember and follow the words that are also a destination for our study.
I am looking forward the next trip next Friday.
